How Frontier People handles your data
We handle the data of candidates, clients and website visitors carefully and confidentially. This policy explains which data we process, why, and what rights you have.
01Who we are
Frontier People is a specialist search partner for Technology Leadership, Commercial Leadership and Critical Engineering Talent in DeepTech and Advanced Technology. Frontier People is the controller for the personal data processed through this website and in the course of our services.
Contact: Martijn de Kruijff, martijn@frontierpeople.nl, +31 6 29 23 92 41. Chamber of Commerce [number].
02Whose data we process
We process personal data of three groups:
- Candidates: professionals we approach for a role, who leave their CV or LinkedIn profile with us, or who are otherwise in touch with us about a next step.
- Clients: contacts at organizations that engage us for a search or are considering doing so.
- Website visitors: anyone who visits this website or completes a form.
03What data we process
Candidates: name, email address, phone number, LinkedIn profile, CV, education, work experience, current role and employer, area of expertise, availability, salary indication and expectations regarding terms, interview notes and our assessment of fit with a role, and any information you share with us yourself.
Clients: name, role, organization, business contact details and the content of our correspondence and assignments.
Website visitors: the details you enter in a form and the technical data needed to display and secure the website, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited.
We do not process special categories of personal data, such as data about health, religion or political opinions, unless you expressly share these with us yourself and they are relevant to the search.
04What we use your data for
- Mapping the market and approaching professionals for a role at a client.
- Assessing the fit between your profile and a role, and introducing your profile to a client, only with your consent.
- Carrying out a search assignment and maintaining our relationship with clients.
- Answering your questions and messages sent through the website.
- Keeping your profile on file for future roles, if you give us your consent.
- Securing and improving the website and meeting our legal obligations.
05Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of:
- Performance of a contract or the steps leading up to one: for search assignments for clients and for placing candidates.
- Legitimate interest: approaching professionals whose profile matches a role, maintaining our network and securing the website. We always weigh this interest against your privacy and only approach you for roles that match your expertise.
- Consent: for sharing your profile with a client, keeping your data for future roles and placing non-essential cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
- Legal obligation: for our administration.
06How long we keep your data
- Candidates: up to one year after our last contact, unless you consent to a longer period or ask us to delete your data sooner. Data you leave through the CV form is kept for a maximum of one year.
- Clients: for the duration of the relationship and afterwards as long as needed for our administration. Invoices and agreements are kept for seven years under the statutory retention obligation.
- Messages via the contact form: up to one year after they have been handled.
- Technical website data: up to six months.
07Who we share your data with
We only share your profile with a client after you have given your consent. We never sell your data.
We also use service providers that process data on our behalf, such as the parties that host our website and provide our email and our candidate and client administration. We have data processing agreements in place with these processors. Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
We only provide data to public authorities where the law requires us to.
08Security
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorized access and misuse, including a secure connection (https), access controls on our systems and confidential handling of your data. If you suspect misuse, please contact us immediately.
09Cookies
This website uses functional cookies that are needed for the website to work properly, such as remembering your language choice. We only place analytics or marketing cookies with your consent. You can delete or block cookies through your browser.
10Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the data we process about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected or completed;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict or object to the processing;
- receive your data in a common file format (portability);
- withdraw your consent at any time.
Send your request to martijn@frontierpeople.nl. We respond within one month. To make sure the request comes from you, we may ask you to identify yourself. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
11Changes
We may update this privacy policy, for instance when our services or the law change. The current version is always available on this website.
